Objective: Reposition Terrabis as a purpose-driven lifestyle cannabis brand rooted in wellness, education, and experience. Inspired by terra, Latin for “earth”, the brand reflects a grounded connection to nature, with a calm, elevated identity that moves beyond stoner stereotypes. It’s Midwest cannabis reimagined through a lens of exploration, active living, and human connection.

the PROCESS

Research & design collaboration

  • Conducted a competitive brand audit of national and regional cannabis companies to identify whitespace and visual opportunities.

  • Held stakeholder Q&A sessions with internal teams including founders, operations, retail, budtenders and marketing to understand perceptions of the current brand and hopes for future positioning.

  • Brainstormed collaborative working sessions to mood board, align on tone and gather creative input across departments.

  • Synthesized feedback into core brand themes that influenced design direction and messaging strategy.

Defined and designed a visual identity that positioned Terrabis as a purpose-driven, lifestyle cannabis brand, think Patagonia meets Midwest cannabis. Created a scalable system that aligns with wellness, nature, and experience, moving beyond outdated stereotypes.

  • Built brand guidelines covering typography, color, photography, and hierarchy

  • Designed marketing templates for campaigns, social, and in-store activations

  • Developed presentation and communication tools for internal and external use

  • Expanded the look and feel to connect with both lifestyle and wellness audiences
