Scope: Brand strategy, visual identity, brand guidelines, and rollout assets
Team: Copy writer, Jes Kocemba + Marketing director, Jessica Wrobel
Objective: Reposition Terrabis as a purpose-driven lifestyle cannabis brand rooted in wellness, education, and experience. Inspired by terra, Latin for “earth”, the brand reflects a grounded connection to nature, with a calm, elevated identity that moves beyond stoner stereotypes. It’s Midwest cannabis reimagined through a lens of exploration, active living, and human connection.

Research & design collaboration
Conducted a competitive brand audit of national and regional cannabis companies to identify whitespace and visual opportunities.
Held stakeholder Q&A sessions with internal teams including founders, operations, retail, budtenders and marketing to understand perceptions of the current brand and hopes for future positioning.
Brainstormed collaborative working sessions to mood board, align on tone and gather creative input across departments.
Synthesized feedback into core brand themes that influenced design direction and messaging strategy.

Defined and designed a visual identity that positioned Terrabis as a purpose-driven, lifestyle cannabis brand, think Patagonia meets Midwest cannabis. Created a scalable system that aligns with wellness, nature, and experience, moving beyond outdated stereotypes.
Built brand guidelines covering typography, color, photography, and hierarchy
Designed marketing templates for campaigns, social, and in-store activations
Developed presentation and communication tools for internal and external use
Expanded the look and feel to connect with both lifestyle and wellness audiences
